Soup today, soup tomorrow, soup again by ShabazikLittle Blighter by ShabazikInterrogatory by ShabazikNigromante de Tok-Thoria by ShabazikOrcs and the Plague by Shabazik

In the empty stone halls, the orc spearmen advanced, clenching his spear. He was told by his captain to go to the throne room, and didn't said anymore... but in all his experience, it was never a good idea to be brought to the attention of the higher ups.

this could only mean trouble, that's it. When he saw that pointy-eared guy in a fancy armor, defending a pointed-eared girl with even fancier clothes, he should instead just do like the rest and sack some poor farms or something... but NOOOOOOOOooooo, he had to get there, thinking it would be nice to have such fancy clothes for himself...

but instead, he got like that to be a knight slayer, and the kidnaper of an elven princess: of course that get the attention of the higher ups -and they didn't left him even take the fancy clothes and armors he desidered for himself!-

well, aside of that sash... which he regreted having now: standing in the empty throne room, feeling watched... and his colourful eleven sash would only make him more remarkable!

It was then when he feel his presence. His brain screamed in a desperate panic by the pure, unadultered terror inspiring power.

Damn it, damn it, damn it, he thought. He thought he was send to see the higher ups... NOT the higher up!!

Despise wanting to drop to the floor and howl of terror or run away, he stood here, as he was trained to do.

"My creation" a soft voice said... a soft voice that didn't matched that aura. He had seen before, in formations, the Nigromante of Tok-Thoria. He had seen him before in formations, or when guarding his fortress... the bazrrod werewolf, maybe the oldest of them all, was a shape-shifter that could take many forms... and while this androgynous looking man wasn't the most terrible of them, it didn't concealed the fact of his true nature.

The Nigromante circled around him... with these shadows of animals he didn't know, and didn't wanted to get to know either.

"I have heard you have done some interesting feats..." he said.

Damn it. He was never going to do anything remarkable ever in his life, to not get this sort of attention.

"...and as this wasn't something I expected on this first trial test to be shown" he said. "Not this kind of initiative..." he added "Or this kind of individuality" the demon remarked, looking for a moment at the elven sash.

Damn it. He shouldn't have ever wanted to have anything nobody else had.

"...this will need some more tests..." the Bazrrod said. "Follow me..."

the mention of tests made the orc shiver... the laboratory of their creator was infamous and feared, and many thought it as one of the worse possible destinies for any orc, goblin, men, kanov, beastmen or even demon...

but he was trained to follow orders, and did so, while mentally cursings his elven sash and the moment he saw it on the battle...

...while the Nigromante wondered about making a new breed of Black orcs, not only of lowly slave-soldiers and slave-workers, but of captains for the hordes he was secretly breeding in the pits of Tok-Thoria...

By the Second War of the Power, when the Kokto Black Orcs appeared in the Fall of Roccasone and the Campaign of Sargos as part of the forces send by the Nigromante of Tok-Thoria, they where new, unknown threat to the warriors of the Five Kingdoms, an enemy unseen until that moment for them. They where as well something new and unknown to their allies of the Polforian Legions, who looked strangely to these southerners...

but what was first new in the campaign of Sargos at the 2440 After the Apparition of Humanity (a.a.H), later would come to be one of the banes of humanity in the seas of Tok, Caritz, northern Zarhuy and southern Aels, being the backbone of the legions of the Nigromante of Tok-Thoria.

For the beginning of the Second War of the Power (2434-2539), the Black orcs or Koktos was indeed a new orcish race.

The Nigromante of Tok-Thoria, while first set base in the islands at the 1368, only began to conquer it at the 1728 a.a.H, fighting for the hegemony of them against the savage Tokerí kanovs in a lengthy conflict.

After finally subyugating the Tokerí kanov, who became vassals -worshipping the demons as gods-, The nigromante raised the Tokerí as armies for the Dark Legion, taking part during the First War of the Power (2203-2223 a.a.H) in the southern campaigns against Uslen and in the islands: his armies and navies will be finally defeated by the caliphate of Blazakhov in the islands, and in the continent, he lost his armies in the Siege of Hortann, retreating to the islands and taking refugee here for the rest of the war.

With his power lost and legions dispersed, the Whide Axis didn't went after him on his isles when they exiled the other Great Demon Lords: He was a mere shadow in his power, that hide deep in the islands to the point many thought he had completely dissapeared...

But the demon lord waited. And so, from the 2290 a.a.H, slowly the Nigromante began to act again from the shadows, encouraging the Tokerí kanovs to pillage and plunder as pirates and raiders, while he began to develop a new "weapon": the Kokto black orcs, at the 2295 a.a.H. He decided this, because of the defeats suffered in the first war of the power he thought the mercenaries and tokerí kanov he had before in his service, while useful, weren't enough to build an empire, empire he was ambitious to build for himself, now that the Demon Lords where on exile.

Always in secret, he acted from the shadows, afraid of the return of the Whide Axis to finish him off: And slow but constantly, he gained back his power, while using the Tokerí for proxy-wars against his enemies. During the middle Human Age, feeling more confident to rebuild his own demonic principalty, while continuing his experiments to get a new kind of servant, breeding new creatures from a mix of Kaiehm green orcs, Ur Dur goblins, Kanov men and other creatures to raise his own slave-army, the Koktos, or Black Orcs of Tok-Thoria.

The first time these mixed orcs were seen, 'early drafts' were unleashed as a test by their master by 2391 a.a.H., bringing chaos and
destruction like an anarchic horde to southern Aels: To avoid them to be tracked to Tok-Thoria, the Nigromante made his armies to march across the Underworld of Kazrrad, appearing suddendly from the underground in the mountains of Nohalion: fighting men, dwarf, mountain elf, the horde of unknown origin, serving an unknown master brought destruction until it's final defeat at the hands of the trade cities united under Zannas, the Empire of Uslen and the Hebonnor, with the remnants escaping back into the underworld of Kazrrad, where despise their defeat at hands of the Drow of Negeémiliel in the battle of the thousand caves, remained a permanent danger as they joined the goblin crusade of the Bloody Apple.

This "test run" was considered a success by the Nigromante, and for the first time the black orcs where unleashed.

In the 2430, when the Nigromante of Tok-Thoria rose again, claiming his empire, the Koktos will become the backbone of his armies.
The new legions had a frustrating start at first, but eventually defeating attempts at defense by the Principalty of Rudloffur and the Kingdom of Enkel and conquered territory along the east coast of the south mainland of Aels.

An unintended consequence of this was leaving the Witch King of Dol-Nur a free hand to free from their exile the Great Demon Lords, being the beginning of the second Coming of Darkness, and the age of the Koktos in 2434 a.a.H.

In a reluctant way, with the reunification of the Dark Legion, the Nigromante send a token force of his new creation to gather with the massing Great Army of Satman in the 2439, that will participate in the catastrophic Campaign of Sargos of the 2440 a.a.H

Between the second half of the XXV century until the XXVI century, during the Second War of the Power, the Koktos will play a key role in the southern campaigns of the war, and as well in the succession of Tok-Thoria from the Dark Legion, fighting against the Empire of Uslen, Purpurian, Enkel kingdoms, Nutkia, over northern Zarhuy and the shores of Tok, in the forests of Nubla and during the War of the Four Black Kings.

However, it was noted the several weakness the black orcs had, and for the Third War of the Power (2633-2675 a.a.H) the Nigromante of Tok-Thoria began to replace them with the Pixerianos.

Like with other demon creations -as the Ur Dur-, there are great differences between individuals of the Koktos, varying from size -as
small as a dwarf to almost as tall as human-, physical appearance and skin tones, there existed several black orc races.

"By the pricking of my thumbs, Something wicked this way comes"

While there is no pricking going on here, the looming threat is very clear! : 3 I love the creeping darkness of the Nigromancer - it almost gives you the feeling that the Orc (and Orcs) aren't naturally bad, but are being influenced by the eminence of this vile wizard. >X 3

Stellar piece, Alex!!
