Drow Patrol by Shabazik Drow Patrol by Shabazik

A patrol of drow acolytes of the city state of Negeémiliel in their ceremonial armors: the group is composed of four acolyte soldiers and an accolytal subofficer.

Done by a challenge made by ~KO-Corral, so I redrawed an old pic. Tried to retain the lame, lame composition and designs of the characters of that pic.

The characters of that old pic where Auril, Divoÿn, Quilintha, Milvais and Xuunera.

Years later, the story of Auril -or elements of her story- will be divided among the character of ~animal-delos Maylara Maltree, Achie Ach'Hast and the childhood of General Dahl'Arak.

Divoÿn lost the D of her name and her mixed drow-hake dark elf ancestors, but remained in personality the same.

Quilintha Quarra was one to change less, but she had back then even poorer background, being her family artisans, and she had an elder sister who trained as well to be acolyte, but failed and dissapeared in the surface.

Milvais was Milvais, but then she was as well the subofficer in charge of the group.

Xuunera was an expert swordwoman and officer, but few other of her characteristics became a part of Captain Xuunera Lo'Kee, aside of her name.

Think I'll just sit back in the underbrush and watch this crew go by.  Then get back to town and the nearest brothel.

Lets see normal rule is drow females, more scantily clad more powerful. Hmm they are rather influential.

Quilintha is really cute here! Do we have a chance to learn more about her older sister? Now, while Quilintha is traveling across the oceans and continents on the surface, is it possible that she will meet her sister there?

Why Auril has a different color of skin? She also seems to be taller than Milvais. She is big!

And what a beautiful Xuunera the swordswoman, who is of course just a homonym of Xuunera Lo'Kee! Her appearance is totally different.

Many thanks!

There is a chance to learn about her older sister -maybe sometime!-
But it is that, while she was reported death, she really dissapeared! :O!

Auril it's a big drow lady, because she is as well a bit of Hake -surface, blue dark elf-, and the hakes are somewhat taller than the drows. :3

And yes: this Xuunera the Swordwoman is rather different from Xuunera Lo'Kee! She have curly hair, and use it in a more "femenine" way than Lo'Kee... as well, she doesn't have her distincitive nose! X3

But we also know that Quilintha is alive while she and her friends also probably were reported as dead. Right?

Seriously, I miss them... I understand that you simply have no time for them now - the same way as I have no time for my poor elves or equally poor Alya the Unlucky. But sometimes I'm afraid that you lost interest in them...

very right!

The problem with them is not that I lost interest in them... but interest in Maylara story, and I need to finish that one to continue with the drow trio. XO!

Ouch...

And what the problem with Maylara story? Her creator gives you no freedom? I remember that he was very picky about anything related to Maylara, even when I dared to like Laeh'le more than May :)

But afterwards I liked Maylara too, mostly thanks to your efforts - you depict her really nice. She is very young on drow measures, she is much younger than Laeh'le, and despite she is tall and busty, she is not so much older than Lo'Kee's older daughter. She got unusual skills that makes her a valuable agent, she is cocky as teenager but at the same time she is shy and unexperienced, she had enough of love and care in family and too much of hate and insults from neighbors and coevals. With her color of skin, her home village is hostile land for her, and dark and scary underworld which she tries to leave as soon as possible is actually a homeland to those who look like her. In fact, she is a derelict, and she is too young to deal with it. She is really a dramatic character.

I would be more interested to see the development of Maylara's character than to see her as a superhero preventing one coup d'etat in Negeémiliel and providing another one... And of course, I wouldn't believe that she is able to do it all and simply leave.

Anyway, I'd like to see what will happen next...

Xuunera Lo'Kee and "Xuunera Sord'Omen" are effectively two very different characters! But I'm impressed as how THIS Xuunera looks hot in her bikini and Xuunera Lo'Kee looks rather silly in her underwear! [link] But, at least I can understand now why the good captain's ceremonial "armor" is extra, extra skimpy! ;)

The really strange thing here is that despite the greater physicality of Xuunera Lo'Kee, I still sort of expect her to outthink this older, but hotter Lo'Kee! Just as long as she doesn't have to detect the obvious! LoL

The business with Auril is fascinating! Even if some ideas never come to fruition--you were able to use them in another form! Who knows how many seperate ideas that may have been spawned from the Maylara Maltree commissions!

Ivoyn has little resemblance to Divoyn that I can see. I'm rather surprised about the mixed hake business, even though I once read the rundown text on the old pic before this. It slipped my mind, though I suggested such a think for the Maltree clan just a week or so ago to explain May's more purple coloring! Sure enough, Divoyn is rather blue like a hake! Even though they look rather different, the two versions have the same personality? Can Negeemiliel possibly withstand the presence of both Ivoyn and Divoyn? A good thing that one got sent off with her disgraced unit and then mysteriously vanished--but who knows what mischief that Divoyn has been up to! :D

But Ivoyn is bright and innovative, that worked for her in war, leading to her promotion.

Milvais remains the same, but she is in charge of the little group? Given the merciless fighting effectiveness of Milvais, it's easy to see why she might have gotten that position. Especially after she captured or killed all of those fanatics! Only, in the world we've seen--she didn't obtain that position, but Ivoyn did. Did the Zisrith family exist as now, with the angsty sister and hapless brother, her former mercenary dad and acolyte mother?

"Quilintha is the same but for her eyes, and that her elder sister was killed rather than vanishied. This puts a great deal of pressure on her to succeed so the Quarra family might enter into the acolytal class. The old version had the mystery of a vanished older sister. However, the mercenary family rather than an artisan one explains how they were able to afford to pay for two initiates in the family, and a mercenary mother might add all the angst and mystery into the dynamic than a missing sister ever did.

Of course, in this reality, Quilintha IS the missing sister--as opposed to the dead one! The Quarra family is very unlucky!

In the pic, the background is amorphous, but defined well enough to start to look like a cavern. Love the rock that Milvais and Quilintha are seated on. Whenever anyone says that they are unarmored, point to their stockings and opera gloves or tightly woven laminated silk--that's armor! Not very good armor, but its armor! :D

Xuunera Sord'Omen? from where did you take that name? XD

The presence of Divoÿn AND Ivoÿn in Negeémiliel? The old stones of the city don't stand a chance! XD

The Zisrith family wasn't worked about. It was only decided she was from a traditional family, no information further than that!

For Quilintha sister in this world, I think I have never been specific. Her family THINK her older sister is dead, I think! -unless I directly stat otherwise?-

And you are right, laminated silk is somehow a light armor! X3

I invented the name Xuunera"Sord'Omen" from Xuunera the "Swordwoman"! With that big sword on her back, it was one of her outstanding features. I got rid of the two "w" letters and substited an "e" for the "a". I thought it might sound more ominous that way. The "omen" is--is that Xuunera is going to cut her enemies to ribbons with her sword!

LoL This reminds me of a book I had as a child where a magician would change the meaning of a word by changing just one letter! (which happens quite a bit posting on line when a typo occurs and a letter gets added or usually left off!)

Thanks for all the information! Glad that I could help with the reminder that the acolyte leggings and arm guards are a form of armor of at least a little value.
