It was a decoy!

Grunting, the bountyhunter took out of the Mech cockpic the gunner, dropping her at the side of the downed mech.  She then put the knocked out NCO, replacing her.

That done, she took her communicator from her pistol holster, deciding to make a quick call to her contractor.

"Who's speaking?" said an annoyed voice.

"It's Mantis" the bountyhunter said.

"You aren't supposed to call this number!" said the annoyed voice in the other end of the line. Pausible deniability and all that corporative politics, Mantis didn't cared about.

"Your intelligence was wrong"

"It was very precise intel we had there!"

"It was all bullcrap!" Mantis snapped. "All was only a decoy! They didn't even wanted to waste an officer on this decoy, which made it even more obvious!! There is no classified cargo here! It was all made very visible, open and shiny, so you guys bite the bait completely!!"

"Do you have the classified cargo?"

"There wasn't classified cargo! I doubt the aFras down there knew it, but it was all a decoy!"

"If you don't have the classified cargo, you don't get paid, you know it, bountyhunter?"

"Are you kidding me?! They send a damn mech after me! It was you failed inteligence service the one who failed here! It's not my fault you make me hunt ghosts!"

"They sended a Mech after you?"

"I stabbed it my knife" Mantis said.

"Wha-what?!"

"ANYWAY. No classified cargo... But Azimuth Pharmaceuticals isn't as stealthy as they thought they are either."

"Why you said that?"

"I have the encryped logs of the ship -and an encrypter to come along" Mantis said "I'm quite sure you guys at Kasparov CIA will pay good money for it."

"Why you say so?"

"Well... I think you will interested to know, that it seems, Azimuth Pharmaceuticals have been doing some runs to the Goeliathian Coalition... you know? These guys that are at war with YOU guys?"

"....

"That's what I thought" Mantis said, before turning off the communicator. She looked at the downed mech, and took out of the pilot cockpic the second of the NCO. "I hope this stuff still works" Mantis thought, as she placed herself in the pilot seat: she wanted to do a spectacular extraction of the Azimuth Pharmaceuticals space port with the ships logs and the first NCO she captured, who knows the encrypting codes used in the ship log...
