Medium Mech Atalantos

The Atalantos was a cooperative design of the WK.CORP, Grupp and Skod houses, under petition of the Mercenary house of the Metalgods.

Armored with a compossition metal with stornkoldio, it was lighter but more durable than other contemporary mechs: but as drawback, it was more costly.

It was armed with a Koplekmetal gun L51 of 125mm, capable of leaving out of combat any contemoporary main battle tank and armored vehicle. However, it overloaded the frame, and the recoil of the weapon could easily make the Atalantos to loss the balance, reason why often the crew of the Atlantis gave it a limited use, mostly from a good firing possition with a niveled surface.

As secondary armament it had two CIAN guns from the WK.CORP and a light laser to be used against infantry and unarmored vehicles.

The Atalantos reached a good speed, and thanks to it's armor had good chances to survive a battlefield saturated with armored vehicles, RPG's and mechs.

It mostly was used by Metalgods, but as well Otskold, Stornkold and some minor mercenary companies, as the Pixie Squad.
