They wheren't slaves, but free commoners looking for work in one of the more know clubs of Negeémiliel, and of course, he hired only the better.

"Hey, you are a small one. Many acolytes like that, a shame you don't have longer hears!" he said to a shy candidate. He mumbled something as an answer.

"What did you say?"

"I know. I just need the job, you know?"

"We will see if you are fit for it! Not everybody can be an exotic dancer, you know!" he said.
