Pixies in Aiers: real or fiction?

Pixies, as ghosts, zombies, brownies, smurfs and undead are part of the myths of Aiers, fairy tales or folklore, as many other creatures.

However, often have happen that some creatures believed to be only myth, end being discovered -humans, for example, for long thought to be only a myth, proved to be reals!-, reason why the elves believe the Pixies must be real rather than folklore, and often relationate them as a creature linked to the elfkind.

The search for Pixies have become for many high elves an obsession some scholars say is just lost efforts, but this hadn't stopped the search for this -and other creatures and mythical artifcacts.-

However, aside from stories, tales and myths -and sightings without way to back them- the pixies have been so far elusive to the high elves, remaining as a myth.

This hadn't stopped them from trying!

The Pixies of Dal' Aran

In the City of the Mages of Dal' Aran, a high elven state from the Whide Axis Empire, after the First War of The Power (2.203-2.223 a.a.H)-, much was advanced in the creation of golems, biogolems and creations, being many of these advances possible thanks to knowledge adquired from storming the demon fortresses.

And one of the creations will be modelled after the mythical pixies.

The creation of golems and creatures wasn't something unknown to the High Elves, being this art first developed by the Hake Dark Elves during the Middle Elfic Age -one of the "heretic dark arts" the high elves accused them of ussing-, and despise the formal condemnation of these "arts", later they addopted these as their own.

However, the demons where much more advanced in the creation of golems, biogolems and creations than elves, in great part thanks to technices that where lost to the records by the demons, of the use of "shards of souls".

The Artificial Pixies, produced by apprentices of the city of the Mages who wanted their degree of mastership, was using the techniche learned from the demons of a "demon sould shard", so rather than only artificial constructions they had some spark of life -of demonic nature-.

The Artifcial Pixies of Dal'Aran are a state of the elven artcraft, made with extremal care and carefully, replicating in diminute size the body of an elf with insect wings and strong maná aura, having as key feature the "demon soul shard".

The elves make them, as they stories depicted the pixies -but there are other, very different descriptions of the mhytical creatures-

The Pixies according to the High Elves

Acording to the students of "Pixielology" -the study and investigation of proofs of the existence of Pixies- they look like diminute elves with wings, with a strong aura and maná which allow them to feature much natural magic -theorizing that they fly thanks to magic, and maybe can be invisible, reason why they are so elusive to the high elven pixielologists-.

They theorize their diet would be compossed of fruits and bugs -or only hervibore, with others claiming they produce some sort of "honey" the consume, the also mytical ambrosia-

According to their reproductive habits, a school of Pixielologists say they are oviparous, laying even thousands of eggs at a time, while others claim that they should be, being familiars of the elfkind, mammals.

Other discussion is if there are both genders of pixies, or is a specie compossed only of femenine individuals. The ones who follow such theory, say they would reproduce with a completely-male specie -as well from myths!-, the brownies.

true to be told, like with centaurs, never have been either too much of a fan or them, and like with centaurs, they have come and go from my world several times.

Sometimes, they entered in world as Nipides or Hardan -as there shabazik.deviantart.com/art/sp… buut I have never been too friendly of them.

Too magical for my tastes, and if other creatures didn't looked like capable of flying -harpies and Car'haad- these small pixies, with their wings, much less.

In the end -unlike centaurs- the Pixies where cut from my world. At least, in the traditional sense, as where keep as "fairies"or "pixies" a kind of pigmy elf from Purpurian.

But with their insect wings, they dissapeared...

AT least, as a "real" creature of my world of Aiers, as they are part of the myths, and many elves claim they are true and have encountered pixies in the forests...
