The Silvan Elves are a race of Rossnes light elves who lived in eastern Aels and Hieyoks.

The Rossnes was the prehistoric group of the pink elves, who due migrations and settling in different areas, divided in three main groups: The High elves, who migrated from the original elven lands in Polforia, across Hieyoks to settle in Ushaenor.
The Mountain elves or Hebonnor, who settled in western Aels -until during the High Elven expansion and posterior age of invasions, where pushed to the mountain ranges of Aels, from where they received the name of mountain elves.
The third group would be the Silvan elves, who remained in Polforia, and only slowly, due the migration of Wollumis and Neroz dark elves, settled along the eastern lands of Aels, and as well, in the Tok sea shores of Hieyoks.


During the Early Elfic Age, they where subyugated to the first elf civilization, of the Drow, until rebelions and wars from the Silvan and many others elfs and other species, the drow empire collapsed, and the remnants of the Drow nation escaped to the Underworld of Kazrrad.

After that, using as base the knowledge of the colapsed drow empire, the Silvan elfs began their own urban civilization and a serie of independent kingdoms, in the eastern shores of Aels, a "golden time":

There, could be found the empires of Malvor and Monthaffen -for a time, know as the "Plains elves"- but their short golden era ended with the arrival, during the Late Elf Age, of the High Elfs of Ushaenor, who gave to them the despective name of Sylvan Elfs, claiming that they where "retarded little brothers of the High elfs" that where needed to be "tutored like little kids", in words of the High Elf Emperor Ja'nael III.

This would be the beginning of a serie of wars, where the Silvan elven kingdoms of the plains where conquered, or forced to retreat inland, away from the shores, and into the large forests and jungles from Nubla and Bierteno, while the Hebonnor retreated to the interior valleys and Highlands.

However, these wars weakened both Silvan and High Elfs of eastern Aels, and neither of them where in good shape, when the Kanovs and humans appeared, putting an End to the Elf Age of Hegemony, with a serie of migrations and invasions:

The High Elf colonies, and Silvan Elf kingdoms alike, where destroyed, and the populations escaped deeper into the forests, where new villages and small kingdoms where founded.

One of the largest and more important of these decadent Silvan Elf-High Elf mixed kingdom of Aels, would be know as the "Forest of Lorthen".

In Hieyoks, the history of the Silvan elves is similar:

they kindoms had their own golden age, until the arrival of the High Elves.

However, there wasn't the great forests of Nubla and Bierteno for them to retreat, and where more quickly conquered, being easier the High Elven occupation of the Silvan elven lands...

at least, until the Age of Invasions, when disease -the Curse of the Doroz and the sucesive Galaw orc, Kanov and human invasions, make their power crumble.


Due all of this, there are really several, very different and diverse Silvan elven cultures, as for example, the silvan elves of Ahrean, from Hieyoks, who where as well closely related with the southern Snow elves, by culture and blood bonds.

Well. Really, I think all began for these silvan elves when I had to do some commissions for of his character Fiva The Elf, in her Link inspired clothes. Which I loved!

So I wanted to draw other of these Link-clothes-inspired elves. Or cosplaying at him at least!! XD

It's more of a joke than anything serious, so I doubt outside of this drawing you will ever see this "super-original-design" aside from there -or maybe a heavily modified one, retaining at much, the pointed cap-. But sometime is fun to poke at these things. <(^-^)>
