Sura and Ansuran

From the Book of Ansuran, the First to Sura:

"There was an era, when gods walked upon the world, being the mightiest of them all the Goddess Sura, the all-mother, who ruled over a court of godlings, her children. Among them, Ansuran was her favorited, meaning his name the "First to Sura", the one she held closest to her hearth.

As the first elves emerged from the trees in this new but ageless world, the children of Sura was surprised to see this creation. Ansuran saw in them great potential, and over numerous elven generations, he visited them, teaching them knowledge that once was limited to the gods.

However, the other godlings detested and feared the elves, and what this race could become over the next milenias.

As they gathered in the Halls of the All-Mother, they decided that the elves had to be wiped out. So, the godlings came like an unstopable might over the early elves, devouring and killing them on sight.

Ansuran on the other hand was not included in the plan of the other godlings. He came to reason with his brethen, and they tried to reason with him, but then one attacked ansuran, and hell broke loose.

After a long series of short brutal battles, ansuran killed his kin, saving the elves. He layed then dying at the shores of the ocean, his body broken and torn.

There, Sura found her son.

Ansuran was full of shame, for killing his brothers and sisters, but Sura tended to his wounds.

Calmy, the All-Mother explained her anger towards the killed godlings, but not for attacking the elves - just for attacking her favoured child and harming it so badly.

Then she explained to him, that he has to accept the end of the elvenkind, since they are to dangerous to be let unharmed. The same they she talked about the ancestors of orc, dwarf and men: All intelligent races besides the godlings had to be ended.

Ansuran lied in the caring arms of his mother, horrified by her calmly spoken works of hatred and genocide. So he did the only thing he could: He devoured his surprised mother, like he devoured the rest of his brethen, making him the only remaining godling in the world, to save the destiny of the mortals"

Commission for of the Horned Demon Ansuran, the God of death and Decay, and Sura, the All Mother.

They are from ~fearydistress and are part of his own fantasy world, but as Brûm, I have an adaptation of them into Aiers, but as myths and a religion. In this case, this would be the interior of a demonic cathedral in Brûm.
