The Corporative Fleets

The Kasparov 9th Battle Fleet, along with the MICHI mercenaries fleets, reinforced with other fleets of the CONIN, arrives at Kanyikia during the Battle of Kanyikia during the Devart Sector War or Goeliathian Wars.

The Kanyikian missile bombardments of the Goeliathian Coalition space, lacking any sort of accurate inteligence, as they began as an attack of saturation, weren't very effective due the lack of information of the enemy they targeted, but they had, even with that -or maybe because of that- a high cost in human lives, as some of the UCR outer colonies had been attacked. Kashirim, homeworold of the Kaezid, will suffer destruction, with millions of deaths.

This resulted in the impeachment of previous Prime Minister Gerard Giano, and the immediate election of a far more aggressive leader: Lucif Baldwin. The vote of a full scale invasion was almost unanimous.

Almost all the United Colonial Republic Armada, the largest forces of the Goeliathian Coalition, will arrive to  Kanyikia, supported by CrimsonFALKE mercenaries. As an opening move, they used a combination of Interstellar Ballistic Nuclear Missiles to a wide range variety of Specialty Asteroid destruction missiles,  aimed at the various moons of the Free Colony of Kanykia, Satellites, and the planet itself, trying to cripple with the very first strike the defensive capabilities of Kanyikia, causing great destruction and affecting as well the long range capabilities of Kanyikia.

Upon facing the whole UCR armada, the UCR expected an inconditional surrender, and as well among the Kanyikians, the moral was low and many spoke of capitulation, but the defense forces where preparing to try to defend from a planetary assault.

However, Kanyikia didn't capitulate, and as they keep resisting a rutinary bombardment of the UCR fleet, the Corporative Fleets massed. Kasparov CIA, who had recruited significative mercenary forces from the MICHI Mercenary Guild and that had convinced the rest of the Industrial Consortium (CONIN) to support them iin this ongoing war, with shares of markets and in the reconstruction of the war, faced against the UCR Armada a larger, stronger fleet that came as a relief force to Kanyikia.

The UCR Armada, the stronger and larger force of the Goeliathian Sector, facing the dangerous situation of having to keep a blockade in Kanyikia and the Corporative Fleets, deep in enemy space and far away from their closer supply lines, had few and bad choices at their hands: to face a battle of annihilation, or to try a tactical retreat pursuited by the corporative fleets, which could mean a similar result...

So instead, the commanders of the UCR, to save one of the stronger military assets of the Goeliathian Coalition, decided to sign a treaty. While they hoped with such treaty to stop the Kanyikian WMD menace -menace they had already take partially dissipated with their initial strikes-, saving face to retreat, the CONIN forced them into the Kanyikian Treaty... or as it will be known later, the Humilliation of Kanyikia.

While Kanyikia renounced to the use WMD, and disarming their remaining arsenals of interplanetary missiles, signing peace with the Goeliathian Coalition, the UCR Armada was to retreat back to Goeliathian Space. Not only that, but as well the CONIN forced the UCR to open their markets to them, building trade centers and embassies to them, and securing trade routes.

While it is said that the UCR Armada didn't expected to actually held their honor in their treaty -as despise the treaty, as soon they arrived they assumed defensive possitions in the UCR Space against the CONIN-, neither did the Kanyikians, who began an ambitious program of extension of their military capabilities. Meanwhile, the CONIN was only seeking for possibilities to keep pushing further the UCR.


This unequal treaty, signed under the shadow of the corporative guns, forcing the United Colonial Republic whole Armada to not only doing a shameful retreat in front of enemies, but opening the UCR to these same enemies- will trigger yet other political crisis in the UCR:

many governments of the UCR will secessionate to the Terran, while protests all over the UCR will spark against the CONIN, Kasparov CIA and the buildings of trade centers, offices and more done with UCR guvernamental funds for the CONIN.

Meanwhile, as the first CONIN agents arrived, they proceeded undercover with further de-estabilization of the UCR regime, smuggling and preparing as well for an "hostile take-over".

The assessination of the UCR Prime Minister, seemingly by Kasparov CIA operatives, will trigger a formal renouncement of the Kanyikian Treaty as the third UCR government of the war was formed, giving an ultimatum to the CONIN to break ties with Kasparov CIA if they wanted to keep the UCR markets open. An ultimatum the CONIN didn't answered...

The war will continue... but now with an enemy within.

Cronology of Events of the Goeliathian Wars

1. The Goeliathian Cohalition, compossed of the UCR, Terra, Staevik Empire, Xenon Empire and Trident Company, launch a missile strike at Kanyikia, Larqvia, the House of Crimson Falke, Zifvmerenko, the Pixies Mercenary Company, Jauna Zeme and the Zur Space Dominion. This will be the beginning of the Goeliathian Wars.

2. Kanyikia launches as retalation an offensive attack with their own inter-planetary missiles to the Goeliathian Cohalition. Lacking inteligence regarding the Goeliathian territories, the damages are lesser than expected, but destroying many fringe colonies and some medium scale settlements.

3. Invasion of Zur. A Fleet of the Staevik Empire arrives at the Zur Space Dominion. Threatened by a orbital bombing, the Military Junta of the 13 Army Generals collapse, changing the new regime of alliances. Following the example of Zur, the Crimson Falke mercenary hosue as well sides with the Goeliathians.

4. Swiftrunner Sacrifice. A minor engagement between a Kanyikian scout vessel and some spaceships of the Xenon Empire. While irrelevant as a combat, the Swiftrunner sacrifice was used for propaganda purposes for the Kanyikian.

5. Invasion of Bunnya. After Kasparov CIA forced Bunnya to leave their state of neutrality to proclaim beligerence against the Goeliathian Cohalition, an invasion force of the Xenon Empire, originally sent against Kanyikia was re-directed to Bunnya.

6. Zurian Rebellion. Zurian civilian and workers began a riot against Staevik occupation forces and the puppet government. As the protests escalate with some terrorist bombings, the Staevik Empire began a fierce repression, decimating the zurian population but still unnable to completely supress the rebellion.

7. Battle of Kanyikia. A Xenon Empire fleet, send against Kanyikia, was ambushed with the use of a large warhead hidden in asteroid camouflage, obliterating a large part of the combat group.

8. Kasparov CIA, using basses in Mekhere, prepares to try to cut the communication and supply lines of Staevik-Xenon forward armies in Kanyikia-Zurian Space Dominion. As well, they prepare to reinforce Bunnya and Kanyikia. Daemorian Pirates will began raiding Kasparov CIA forces.
 
9. A small fleet with a terran envoy is send to control the Staevik repression on Zur: however, they are attacked by Kasparov CIA forces. The envoy and most officers execute Order 34 -suicide in order to avoid vital information falling on enemy hands. Kasparov CIA gets some prisoners.

10. Retreat of Bunnya. After a fruitless ocupation of Bunnya, the Xenon Empire abandoned Bunnya, after burning all the flags of the planet, who had only offered a passive resistence. Bunnyan flags supplies was reposed by Kanyikia, and Kasparov CIA sends forces to set an orbital base to defend Bunnya from further actions.

11. Kanyikian Long Range Missile Attacks. Kanyikia launches a second wave of long range attacks with missiles, hitting URC planets, which enrages the URC. During these battles, some barrage ships of Kanyikia will be attacked by the Daemorian Pirates.

13. Battle for Zur. Without the Terran to cut out their actions, Staevik Empire begans to orbital strike the rebels in what they laveled "out of safe areas", but the Zurian rebels will receive reinforcements from Blockade runners -Kasparov CIA forces and mercenaries as the Militen Aquila Aurea. The adquisition of heavier equipment by rebels will force Staevik to change tactics: short of manpower, they began to use the "ghost" program, using bodies as some cheap drones to attack the rebels and mercenaries.

14. Kasparov CIA mass a fleet along with the CONIN in Larqvia. Kasparov CIA tried and failed to contact the Trident Company in Goeliathian Space.

15. Deep Space Battle. A Xenon-Staevik Fleet (with Terran units?), supported by Daemorian Pirates try to re-open comunications with the Staevik forces in  Zur, attacking a Kasparov CIA formation, which avoids the heavier of the combat and execute a tactical retreat to RFB space

16. Battle of Kanyikia. After the indiscriminate missile strikes of Kanyikia, the whole UCR fleet, the strongest and largest fleet of the Goa-Coa go against Kanyikia. After defeating the outer defenses, they prepare a blockade. However, the arrival of a stronger Kasparov CIA-Larqvian-CONIN fleet forces the UCR to sign an unequal treaty -The Kanyikian Treaty or Humilliation of Kanyikia- with the CONIN. WIth Kanyikia renouncing to their WMD, the UCR is forced to open markets to the CONIN. Defeated without a fight, the UCR fleet retreats. This treaty will have great repercusions within the UCR. After this battle, Kanyikia will be officially out of the war, but their military forces began a quick plan of expansion under Kasparov CIA support. As well, Kasparov CIA builded some orbital factories - defense plataforms in Kanyikia orbit. (the arrival of the corporative fleets is seen here)

17. In some secret location on the Goeliathian Coalition controlled space, Xenos scientists copy Kasparov CIA shiks.

18. Fall of Zur. With a fraction of the Staevik fleet in deep space, the Staevik blockade of the three worlds of the Zur Space Dominion was weakened, so the Kasparov CIA-Larqvian-Pixie Mercenary Corp fleet was able to pic the divided, weakened Staevik fleet in three sucessive space battles without them being capable of even supporting each other, weakened in their dispersion to blockade Zur. With the fleet being teared appart, Staevik Empire send a desperate last offensive against the rebels and mercenaries ond the ground, but the orbital bombing of Kasparov CIA will take out the Staevik Forces -and as well, of a large part of Zur, due the tactic of the Staevik of using civilians as human shields and entrenching them in the cities.
Zur will be liberated, and the Zur Space Dominion will be officially out of the war. However, the CONIN began an ambitious rebuilding program, and a rewamp of a CONIN orientated military. As well, began to arrive later humanitary help from several organizations.

19. With the UCR retreating, Bunnya abandoned and the Staevik forces in Zur defeated, the relief Terran-Xenon-Staevik forces changes course to unknown space. The Terran began a propaganda campaign pointing fingers as Kasparov CIA for the annihilation of Zur, and to cover the crimes of their own Goeliathian Coalition they seize the Staevik Empire, being killed the dictator of the Staevik. In the UCR, due the Humilliation of Kanyikia, there are civil unrest and many governments of the UCR began to secessionate to the Terran. Most of the terran fleet sails to unknown space.

20. Daemorian-Terran-Soviet negotiations.

21. Terran bases in Arnil-O. Xenos special forces set bases in the frozen planet of Arnil-O, to detect Kasparov-CIA movements.

22.  Kasparov raids of Terran far colonies. Kasparov CIA forces realize a serie of hit-and-run strikes at the far worlds of the Terran and UCR worlds that had just joined the UCR. To not spread their few defensive forces, the Terran began to evacuate civilians from the outer colonies, and asked for help from the Trident Company, who defeat one of the raiding groups. This didn't stopped the raids, but made Kasparov CIA change tactics to larger raiding fleets.

23. Collapse of the UCR. While worlds secessionate and population rebelled against the Humilliation of Kanyikia, the CONIN forced the UCR to open their markets to the CONIN, moves made on purpose to desestabilize the UCR, as are paid violentist groups to promote street violence, and secretly CONIN agents, arms and forces are smuggled to UCR space. The assessination of the UCR prime minister, seemingly by Kasparov CIA, make the government to suffer an abrupt change. An Ultimatum is issued to the CONIN, so they abandone their links with Kasparov CIA, and Azimuth Pharmaceuticals propose to kick out of CONIN Kasparov CIA, but due their interest and important part of collapsing the UCR, that vote is vetoed.

24. SSICC corsairs actions. The SSICC, after long and difficult talks with Kasparov CIA, enters in the war against the Goe-Coa, raiding their supplies lines. The SSICC itself his helped by Kasparov CIA and, covertly, by Kanyikia.

25. Jauna Zeme declares neutrality, hoping to profit from selling equipment and supplies to both sides of the conflict.
