The Pirates of Tunecern by Shabazik The Pirates of Tunecern by Shabazik

A Bazik coastal fortress, being assaulted by the Pirates of Tunecern.

After the fall of the Tork Empire of Cretor at the end of the Anglasecuarnian wars, the former empire was divided in several nations -many of them quickly split between the victors of the war as colonies and protectorades-. Bazikstan, a sucessor state of Cretor, tried in the following decades to rebuild the former empire of Cretor -but now, under Bazik rule-

This will be the origin of a serie of wars, against the colonial powers in former Cretor -as the Gastronomical Empire (IG), Degoland, Juanpableiro, Nicolia and Joaquintopia-, and as well other states of former Cretor, who opposed the Bazik expansion -as the Torks and the vanolosť of Guaderia-.

The war of Tuncern was within this context: After the fall of Cretor, Tunencern was a bazik territory, but cut out from Bazikstan, it falled into anarchy, and see the ocupation of the IG and Motzabili for brief periods of time.

In Tunecern, the pirates will rule the anarchy of the territory, and would present a constant threat to the navigation of the sea of Caritz and to the settlements on the shorelines.

As Tunecern was supposedly a province of Bazikstan, it was used as an excuse by Motzabili and the Gastronomical Empire to realice retalation strikes against Bazikstan.

Because of this -and attcks of the pirates against Bazikstan-, after the victory against Nicolia and Degoland, Bazikstan decided to seize Tunecern, to restore their sovereignity over the distant province, and put an end to the pirats of Tunecern.

When the Bazik fleet arrived to Tunecern, and the Infantry of Marine landed in the cities, there wasn't opposition by the local populations. Upon this, Bazikstan garrisoned many old coastal fortresses and the main cities: but due the needs of the last war against the Gastronomical Empire, the fleet was needed elsewhere, and only a skeletical garrison was left to control Tunecern... and wasn't enogh.

The pirates and tribal warlords, who hidded their weapons and fleets, looking how the Baziks arrived, had waited for this. And when the situation break up -a riot for the water of a well, which ended with bazik infantry of marine firing over civilians- it will be the beginning of the general rebellion.

The warlords attacked the dispersed garrisons inland, one after other, without giving them the possibility to get relief, while the obsolete fortresses and castles of the shore garrisoned by the Baziks where attacked by the pirates, and one after other, their garrisons where massacred.

Once more time, Tunecern was in hands of the Pirates... but not for long, as after knowing the rebellion, the Bazik fleet gathered, and a second invasion was launch:

But this time, the fleets of the pirates, compossed of old wooden ships and protected cruisers, weren't a match to the battleships of Bazikstan. After the destruction of the pirates, the Bazik fleet bombed the coastal cities, destroyed the fortresses, preparing the landing of the Infantry of Marine:

A terrible repression will come, and from blood and fire, Bazikstan will definitievly occupy the coastal lands of Tunecern -however, the tribes of the interior will keep for long an irregular war against Bazikstan.

Other of my old, old drawings of school times, done between the 2004 to 2005, when I had my free-form roleplay game of nations.

It's very pausible. Or maybe it was artillery shrapnel. But for sure, the bazik infantry of marine lost early the machinegun.

These pirates are the descendents of these folk: [link] ?

Does this event take place in the fantasy era or the modern era, as the text implies use of cannon and that the wooden ships seen are obsolete?

modern era. In terms of technology, around 1890-1910. These wooden ships are reaaaaaally obsolete. XD
