“it doesn’t look very … uh...comfortable for battle. And not protective at all.”
“Well! d'uh! It's because It’s not for battle!"
“How can be a serious armor, if not for battle?”
“Because it’s ceremonial! It’s a serious armor!”
“Very well. Suuure. Let’s say it’s a serious armor. Next thing you will say it’s that you aren’t a model, harem exotic dancer or something like that.”
“That’s rude! I’m not a hooker or a prostitute!”
“I didn’t said that!”
“I’m a serious soldier in a serious armor!
"sure, sure, don't get angry!"
"It's allways the same! All the surfacers are allways asuming the worse! And they allways seem to get wrong ideas from our ceremonial armors!"
Briiza, trying to explain to some surfacers how things work with the armors of the Acolytes of Negeé:
They actually have a Battle armor and a ceremonial armor.
The ceremonial armor is used in a daily basis, as well in duties within the boundaries of the city-state, and other colonies, meanwhile the battle armors are mostly used in campaigns against foreign enemies.
This drawing was bassed in a comic panel of the webcomic "Drowtales", from one of the Daydream series about called "Space Age". Drowtales by "Kern" Yan Gagné, and Space Age was (is? much time since I see it) illustrated by ~blackmyst

This it's supposedly thought a "ceremonial armor" -that mean, a ceremonial dress-. Actual drow armors meant for combat are much more utilitarian: [link] :3
