Why so lonely, priestess?

It was no case. She have spend already several days wandering in the forest, but the trail was already old, and the monsters that attacked the village, kidnapping the women, where careful in hiding their trails, as they ventured deep into the taunted forests and mountains.

As she explored in the forests, she feared she will find the remains of the woman, only bones and empty skulls, after the monsters feed on them. Or to find them as macabre warnings, in the woods, as she have seen other times. But she found nothing that lead to believe that the monsters killed the villagers. Even more, she found some abandoned, distant farms, and neither there where signs of violence. Near the road of the forest, there where abandoned clothes and luggage, but no bodies, so all of this make her believe, the monsters had taken them somewhere –alive-, to a den or fortress, deep in the mountains and forests.

She had found some trails: but always they seemed to lead to nowhere, disappearing in the forest, and no sign of the monsters den.

It was like chasing ghosts –as some of the scared children of the village described the attackers.-, and didn’t mattered how much she searched, she couldn’t find the Yokai, and less, where they went with the kidnapped villagers.

So when she found a new trail in the forest –a fresh trail-, she quickly followed into the deep, silent forest, directly to the ambush.

As she walked, she could feel them. Stalking from the woods. She knew they where there, and they knew she was there, as they observed her.

But she walked into the ambush anyway.

Because, if she can’t find where the Yokai have taken the villagers… then they could take herself, to where they where hiding them.

Second part of the commission for , this one gave me many problems when drawing it! I hope it doesn’t look so bad

Like in other parts of my world, while I keep -or try- to give the human characters a more realistic equipment and clothes, I give much liscences when clothing and gearing the non-humans!

Who definitively here are equipped in a more anime-esque style. XD
