You ruined our contract

Teja, the Half Troll (half human), and her companion Dura, the Galaw high orc, were walking on the sunset in the road to Havencrest: however, rather than going to the town, to find a tavern, eat something hot and drink something to strengthen their spirits, to later sleep in a true bed, they had instead in front of them yet another night in the wilderness, and again rations of dryed meat and water as dinner.

As well, the two mercenaries where jobless.

"I think they are waking up" said Teja, who was carrying along the two senseless ozcuras, reason of their atribulations.

"left them on the ground. We have some questioning to do to them" Dura said.

As her friend said, Teja did so, leaving the two awakening ozcuras on the ground of the road to Havencrest.

"Awwww...." moaned Kaala.

"ouuccchhh" added Rei, as both ozcuras waked up... and then, as they looked up, they saw scared the towering half troll and the orc, looking down to them.

"They are going to eat ussssssssss!" cried terrified Rei, who tried to ran away, but was almost inmediatly held by Teja, who caught her from her ponytail. Rei just started screaming and crying because her hair was being pulled, as Teja made her stand up. She proceeded to pick in the same way Kaala, making them stand in front of Dura.

"Very well" Dura said, looking down to the two ozcuras. "We were going to have a nice bodyguard job in Havencrest, and as well, a bed and a hot meal tonight, and we have nothing. I want to know now what happened and why you ruined our contract."

Kaala and Rei looked scared at the two mercenaries, before asuming a submissive pose.

"Who are you?" asked Dura.

"I'm Kaala, and she is Rei. We are ozcuras scouts"

"what where you doing?"

Kaala doubted for a moment saying it, but as she saw the expression on the half troll, Rei decided to say it:

"Our leader ordered us to scout the position of a Kanov warcamp"

"A Kanov warcamp? That wasn't a kanov warcamp! That was a human farm near Havencrest!" said Dura.

"Well... we... where sort of lost" recogniced Rei.

"I wasn't lost. You were lost!" said Kaala.

"Shut up!" snarled back Rei.

"Shut up both of you and only answer my questions!" Dura said. "Who where the humans who attacked you?"

"... I... I think was the city guard?" said Kaala.

"And a farmer we ambushed!" added Rei, before noticing she shouldn't had said that, as Teja and Dura looked down to the couple of ozcuras.

"...You mean, to save you girls from a fight you two begun, we just assaulted the townsguard of Havencrest?! Beautiful. Just beautiful. There is then no way of us returning there anytime soon!!" said angrily Dura.

"And that mean no hot meals" Teja said. "Unless we eat these little snacks?" she added with  a grin... thought it was a joke, as she didn't liked the taste of orcs.

"PLEASE DON'T EAT US!!!" begged the ozcuras.

"All this travel was then only lost time and money" said Dura. "What an absolute loss of time! We should cut our losses here and just head back to Haven-Morrow or Cairie then!"

Teja looked to the Ozcuras. "What with them? In some places, they pay some coins for a couple of ozcuras ears."

"I'm not cutting bodyparts for humans" Dura said.

"So what? we leave them go?" Teja asked.

Dura stared then a moment to the couple of ozcuras scouts.

"Wait a moment... You said, you are scouts?"

"yes?" said Kaala.

"...And you are scouts of a war band, who is at war with some Kanovs?"

"Yes?"

"... Very well! That works!" decided Dura.

"What?" asked Kaala, Rei and Teja.

"These two are going to guide us back to their camp, and we will get them to hire us for this campaign: in that way, this travel isn't a complete loss for our small independent enterprise!"

"That's an excelent idea!" praised Kaala. That was a much better idea than to had her ears cut, to be sold or eaten! "We should totally do that! Our leader would love to have some experimented warriors fighting along our war band!"

"Really? Our chieftain doesn't like much forei..."

"Shut-up-Rei-it's-a-wonderful-idea!" Kaala said.

"It's decided then!" Teja said, before pushing forward on the road the two ozcuras. "Come on! Guide us to your camp!"

"Sure!" Kaala said with a forced smile.... If they only knew, where the hell theor camp was!
