An Orc band of warriors have aproached in the dawn, undetected, to a small Wild Elf village:

To keep the element of surprise, the orcs sended a small vanguard, to take out the various wild elfs guards along the rumbled and low wall of the village:

the guards, already after a long night of watch, where rather sleepy, and bored, and didn't detected the orcs until they where under their noses

-or more literaly, with their hands under their noses, presing their mouths, so they don't raise the alarm.
