Bringing armor to a chainmail bikini fight by Shabazik

Lately, sttspcms have been helping me with my broken english, providing some very helpful corrections along with explainations, so hopefully I get somewhat better at this!

He wanted to commission me, but as lately I hadn't been able to take commissions -so busy!-, I suggested instead an exchange for his continuous help, to do a drawing of his character, the orc knight Lady Keth... thought probably I should have read first he wanted a dynamic pose of the armoured orc lady jumping with her charger horse!

And I HATE drawing horses!

-and yes, this "little pony" it's a Charger Horse! -or meant to be one!- He just looks a bit dwarfed due the sheer size of the orc woman riding him!

I'm afraid I don't know more of Lady Keith, and how she ended being a knight!

This is still a WIP. Finished!

On the character:

Lady Keth was cast away by her parents as an infant in war because their orcish society forbids the raising of more than two females in times of war, and Keth was the third daughter (for pragmatic reasons, orc females are more numerous than men, but they do not want more mouths to feed, and their males are stronger in battle). They traded her off to a slaver, and a noble family whom the slaver visited took pity on the poor child and bought her, raising her as their own in secret, since most humans hated the orcs.

She assimilated well into her family's noble estate, but could not go out for fear of being discovered. Within ten years she had grown larger than almost every human. By the time she came of age she could not fit through most doorways. Since she could not attend court, she asked her family to learn the ways of the sword. To which her family got an idea: she could train for knighthood and become her house's champion. Sir Keth, she would call herself. In a full suit of armor, no one would be able to discern her race nor her gender.

She trained vigorously, and with time she won many tournaments and brought much honor to her family. It was not until she went on her first campaign and saved the High Marshal's life that her true identity was discovered, and although many despised her for it, none could dispute her fealty to the kingdom nor her contributions to the war effort.

From that moment on, she had to work twice as hard to earn others' respect. She could no longer hide behind a helm with her countrymen. She decided from that moment on that she would be known as Lady Keth, and since then has tried to embrace her orcish heritage by using a larger animal like a boar or ram as her steed.

In this picture she was sent on a mission with a group of knights to investigate demonic activity in the mountains, and got separated from her team. She was forced to use a horse after a long period of not using one, so she was uncomfortable with it.

The story that follows was provided by
sttspcms.

Being on edge for the past three days could really wear a person down, thought Lady Keth as she trudged through the mountain pass.

Her horse whinnied yet again, undoubtedly complaining about its immense burden. As a warhorse it could carry a human knight with ease for hours, as long as it wasn’t being worked too hard. Keth reckoned that between her hulking orcish size, her armor and weapons, and her (albeit dwindling) supplies, she weighed over 150 pounds extra. She wished she had a proper mount, like a giant boar or ram, but this was what she was stuck with.

She was about to give in and dismount when she saw the path dip downwards and out into an open field ahead. The end of the pass, not more than a hundred meters away. A figure stood in her way. Large. Horns. Black armor glowing red hot. A demon, Keth thought.

She was barely thinking as she clicked her visor shut, kicked her horse in the sides, and leaned forward in the saddle, bracing herself against its body. Winded but still excited for a charge, the warhorse kicked off to a magnificent speed. The throb, up and down, shook Keth’s entire body as she lowered and couched her lance, hurtling past the blurry rock formations..

Just as she reached within 30 feet of the demon she noticed something that a raised angle on the ground had obscured: a wide, deep pit that seemed to lead into an eerie, sudden darkness. She was moving too fast now to stop and go around; she would have to jump it.

She loosened her grip on the reins and kicked once again, holding the beast’s body tightly as they flew through the air...
