After the era of the Dragonking of Brûm Barum, in the dustlands of Brûm was fought a civil war, and rise as dominant faction the Masked Warlocks and their Nameless King, that the masked necromancers declared the mightiest of them as the new godking, second incarnation of the great dragongod. This "Nameless King", twisted the old religions and beliefs for his own glory and of his order, that they identified as done for the Glory of Brûm.

Under the necromancers, all their living servants, brûmer human and orcs, where turned in undead servants even after their death, which was considered a honor, as they will turn full of life again as promised by the necromancers, but meanwhile, the nameless king had in his realm enough restless workers and warriors:

With death not only so present, but being a normal sighting in Brûm the one of reanimated corpses by black magic, it wasn't something feared by their inhabitants.

In my Aiers adaptation, however, there wouldn't be the realm of undead: because in my world, there are no immortals, no gods and no undead. Or there exist, in the same way as in our one: mostly in stories and faith of people, but not as a present reality.
